EXPLORE is an exciting new initiative being launched by the West Houston Institute in collaboration with instructional programs at HCC. The name is an acronym–Experiential Learning Opportunities + Real-World Education.

Students will have the opportunity to "explore" real-world themes across the academic core curriculum that align with their educational and career pathways. By successfully completing three  courses within a common theme, they will earn a digital badge that recognizes their achievement. 

We are piloting EXPLORE starting in Spring 2025 with our first badge–Medical Humanities. Find out more information below and look for additional badge opportunities coming in Fall 2025!
