Zeeshan Qavi, a HCC Southwest student is realizing his high-tech dream with some help from the Houston Community College Virtual Career Center (VCC), Texas-Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (T-STEM) manager, Leena Sawant and a summer internship with Techno Chaos.

"My T-STEM manager, Professor Sawant and staff have been very helpful with my transition into the STEM program, in addition to finding an internship through the HCC VCC," Qavi said. "I really appreciate the opportunities that HCC's T-STEM program has given me, and I hope to (get) more opportunities likes these throughout my college career at HCC."

This computer science major's dream is to establish a STEM learning center to teach young students computer related activities and underlying principles of their favorite videos and games.

Through his summer internship, Qavi is honing his skills and getting the necessary experience to one day own a similar facility. In the capacity of a technical associate, he conducts summer camps, after-school and weekend classes, clubs and special events for young science enthusiasts between the ages of four to 18.

Techno Chaos is a division of Chaos Busters Incorporated located in Sugar Land. It is a STEM facility that is committed to building future innovators - tech-savvy leaders who are inspired learners, problem-solvers and creators. They will accomplish this through a series of summer camps in robotics, programming, mechanics and technology through Aug.
