F-1 Reinstatement Information Session at Central Campus

Session Time: 2:30-3:30 p.m. (No appointment is required.

 

The sessions are designed to guide F-1 international students whose status has been terminated by Houston Community College (HCC) on the reinstatement process through the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or by traveling and re-entering the U.S. (if eligible).

At the session, staff will help students do the following:

  1. Review requirements for filing for reinstatement through USCIS & the HCC Reinstatement Checklist. Information related to reinstatement through USCIS can be found at www.hccs.edu/district/students/international/f1-reinstatement/
  2. Review options and requirements for re-entering the U.S. with an “initial” SEVIS Form I-20.
  3. Collect supporting documents required for reinstatement. After the supporting documents listed on the HCC Reinstatement Checklist are received by the Office of International Student Services & Study Abroad (OISS&SA), students will be assigned to an immigration advisor for further guidance based on the option selected.
