Accelerated Teacher Certification Program
The Accelerated Teacher Certification Program (ATCP) was recently awarded more than $200,000 in federal stimulus funds by the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC), the Gulf Coast’s Local Workforce Development Board.
The funds will be used to pay 100% of the tuition, fees and books for dislocated workers and other career changers seeking to enter the teaching
profession.
The Accelerated Teacher Certification Program is an educator preparation program that prepares individuals for elementary or secondary classroom teacher certification. A bachelor’s degree is required.
