A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum
November 5th -14th, Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30, Saturdays at 2:00pm. In Theatre One.
Broadway's greatest farce is a light, fast-paced, witty, irreverent tale of a crafty slave who connives to win the hand of a beautiful but scatter-brained courtesan for his young master in exchange for freedom. Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Gelbart and Shevelove. Tickets are $5.00 for students and seniors, $8.00 general admission. Information and reservations: 713-718-6570.
Joy To The World: The Turning Seasons
November 20th and 21st at 7:30, The Heinen Theatre
HCC Central's World Dance Ensemble offers this annual concert honoring the lively traditions of ancient civilizations that are still inspiring dancers around the globe. This year the program includes dances of Japan, Western Europe, Hawai'i and India. Central’s World Dance Ensemble is joined by guest artists including students from the Anjali Center for the Performing Arts with guest soloist, Mahesh Mahbubani and the Hula Halau Ka Pa Hula Umoumou; Houston’s school of Hawai’ian Culture, led by Kumu Hula Keli'i Frank Chang.
